Following the successful landing, or "landing," of the Perseverance rover on February 18, we'll catch up with Exploratorium astronomer Isabel Hawkins, who will update us with the latest news from the Mars probe. What happened? Where have you explored? What have you found and where are you going? Tune in to stay up-to-date on Perseverance's latest adventures on the red planet.

Dr. Isabel Hawkins is bilingual (Spanish / English) and bicultural, born and raised in Cordoba, Argentina. She received her Ph.D. in astronomy from the University of California, Los Angeles in 1986. She spent twenty years as a researcher at the Space Sciences Laboratory at the University of California, Berkeley, working on various NASA satellite projects. He joined the Exploratorium museum in 2009 to work on research related to cultural astronomy and projects for the public including live broadcasts in English and Spanish from Chichen Itza, Yucatan, Mexico on Mayan astronomy and a website on the astronomical foundations of the Polynesian navigation without instruments. She is a winner of the Fulbright “US Global Scholar” scholarship and is interested in competitive Latin dance and the study of indigenous languages.
