Kai Samra: Underclass - Comedy in Angel at The Bill Murray 18.3.
Winner of the Birmingham Breaking Talent Award 2017, Kai Samra is on a mission to subvert lazy stereotypes based on his personal experience of life as a working-class British-Asian. Interspersed with extracts from his interview with former leader of the EDL Tommy Robinson. In this work in progress, Kai tries to understand the rise of right-wing politics, working-class anger and the reasons behind it. As seen/heard on ITV2 Stand Up Sketch Show, BBC3, the BBC Asian Network Edinburgh show on BBC iPlayer and award winning writer for BBC Radio 4’s Sketchtopia. 'Slick and confident... A strong comic voice that tangentially addresses big issues, but from a distinctively personal point of view' (Chortle.co.uk).
