Masterworks Chorale "Christmas at the Cathedral" concert on December 12

Masterworks Chorale and Children's Chorus present the 48th season's annual holiday concert, Christmas at the Cathedral, on Sunday, December 12, 2021, at 7:30 PM, at Saint Peter's Cathedral, 200 W. Harrison Street, Belleville IL. Harpist, Megan Stout and organist, Heather Martin Cooper will join Masterworks for the performance, which will feature new and favorite carols, including Benjamin Britten's A Ceremony of Carols. One of Southern Illinois' finest performing organizations, the Masterworks Chorale was founded in 1974, by Dr. A. Dennis Sparger, while a professor at Belleville Area College (now Southwestern Illinois College). Dedicated to excellence in choral music, the Chorale performs an annual subscription concert series at venues throughout the Metro-East and Saint Louis. The Chorale also sponsors the Masterworks Children's Chorus. Dr. Stephen Mager has served as the Masterworks artistic director and conductor since 2009.
