Scouting For Food - Cub Scout Pack 557 in Cary

Please join Cub Scout Pack 557, which is sponsored by the Cary United Methodist Church, as we mount our annual "Scouting For Food" Food Drive to support the Cary-Grove Food Pantry.

We will have a "drive through" style drop-off for non-perishable food, toiletries, baby item donations setup in the parking lot of the Cary Jewel-Osco (in the parking lot, near Northwest Hwy.).

WHEN: Saturday, November 7th
TIME: 10am to 2pm

1 out of 10 families in McHenry County are food insecure, and with the pandemic and the upcoming holidays, the need for the Food Pantry and their services are more important than ever.

Key items the food pantry always needs:
* Proteins (Peanut Butter, Canned Tuna, Ham, Chicken)
* Canned Fruits and Vegetables
* Dry Rice and Pasta
* Canned Soups and Stews
* Baby Diapers and Wipes
* Toiletries and Hygiene Products
* Laundry Detergent

About Cub Scout Pack 557:
Cub Scout Pack 557 primarily serves the south and west sides of Cary, with most of our youth attending Briargate Elementary. We are an outreach of the Cary United Methodist Church and have been serving the youth of Cary for over 30 years. We have boys and girls from Kindergarten to 5th grade. As Cub Scouts, we work to make our community a better place to live by instilling our youth with a sense of duty, responsibility, and the skills to emerge as future leaders.
