How hard is it to live in Poland if you don't know Polish?

Poslané v Fórum Poľsko

Hi, I want to know how difficult it is to live in Poland if you don't know Polish. How commonly is English spoken? If I were to live in a big city like Warsaw or Krakow, would I have a lot of trouble?

How hard is it to learn Polish (after learning a language like French)?

I went to Poland in December 2010. It was love at first sight. I imagined myself living there the cities that I visited were really amazing. But, as Adrian said is quite hard live there if you don't know polish. The Polish is one of the 5 most difficult languages in the world. I visited some cities Warsam, Kraków, Zakopane and Torun. If I was not with my polish friend, I think, wouldn't able take bus, subway and train. However, it isn't expensive Country and I think, it worth a try. I hope back to Poland and stay there for at least 1 year. I want to travel there.

well that depends where u wanna come...if u come to a big city you shouldnt have many difficulties, i mean most of young people can communicate in english haha at least they try ...however u can face some problems in public institutions cos polish is usually the only language spoken there...

    good luck!
