hi guys. for the rest of my vacations i thought about travelling to spain, in particular to andalucia as i heard only good things about it and need to see some sun.
i heard that it is rather difficult to get around in spain by train? is this true? should i rather rent a car?
and do you have any recommendations about where to go and what to see?
thank you for your help!

Hi Kelly,
One very friendly incredible town is Benalmadena with
fantastic beaches, like the one of Arroyo de la Miel.
Here are links for information to get there by train or bus:http://benalmadena.costasur.com/en/how-to-get-to.html

Close to the station is a very reasonable hotel:

They have a local bus route that goes everywhere in the town:

http://benal-life.com/travel/buses/timetable2.htmMake sure you go to The Butterfly Center, the largest in Europe and on the local
bus route at the same stop for the Buddist Temple, also worth seeing:

There is also a castle by Bil Bil Beach also worth the trip.

hi kelly, did the exact same thing 2 years ago. can only recommend it especially as they past the unbearable heat of august now.
there are train connections in spain (see www.renfe.es) but depending on where you want to go they are either very slow or very expensive (there is for example a high speed connection between madrid and sevilla) or both.
renting a car is good for getting around individually, but i would prefer taking the bus. prices and connection are good. see here: http://www.avanzabus.com/web/
i can only recommend sevilla! it is just beautiful. then you need to see the alhambra in spain and maybe spend some time at the beach in malaga or marbella?
happy to help if you have any questions!
regards, lars
