20th Annual Heirloom Tomato and Veggie Plant Sale

The Womans Club of Ramsey is pleased to announce they will be sponsoring their 20th Annual Heirloom Tomato and Veggie Plant Sale on Saturday, May 20th. The sale will be held from 10 am – 3 pm in the parking lot of the Masonic Lodge on the corner of Lake Street and Franklin Turnpike in Ramsey. This annual sale is a fund raiser for the Woman’s Club of Ramsey and helps to raise money for their charitable work.

There will be a large variety of Heirloom tomato plants offered as well as a great selection of herb, eggplant, squash, lettuce, cabbage, onion and cucumber plants. Also offered will be varieties of sweet and hot peppers. Many new varieties this year!

The famous Ramapo, Moreton and Rutgers varieties of tomato plants will again be offered, as they have been longtime favorites of New Jersey home gardeners. We will also have a new variety, Scarlet Sunrise Bicolor Grape Tomato, recently introduced by Rutgers. Some other new varieties will include Angora, Jersey Devil, Mr. Stripy and Indigo Blue Beauty tomato varieties. Included in the many varieties offered are tomato plants which are suitable for patio and container gardening. The plants are grown by Catalpa Ridge Farm, located in Wantage, NJ.
