(COLUMBUS) — Families, horse and hound enthusiasts, and nature lovers are invited to attend the Hound and Wildlife Habitat and Welfare Fund (HWHWF)’s inaugural Classic fundraiser on Sunday, July 16, 2023 at the historic Bryn Du Mansion, 537 Jones Road in Granville.

The Classic begins at 3 p.m. with public tailgate parking. Guests are asked to bring their own (BYO) tents, chairs and coolers. Food for Thought food truck will be on site. A polo match with the Play Polo Club begins at 4 p.m.

The event also will feature family-friendly activities including a meet and greet with retired sporting dogs, corn hole, coloring pages, face painting and caricature drawings.

“We are thrilled to be able to share our love of sporting dogs and land and wildlife habitat conservation with the central Ohio community at this year’s inaugural Classic,” said HWHWF Board President Loraine Teets.

Family day activities and the polo match are free and open to the public, and donations to HWHWF will be accepted. Family activities and the polo match are weather dependent. Guests can check on rain cancellations at https://www.playpoloclub.us/schedule/.

In addition to Family Day, there is a fundraising luncheon benefiting HWHWF at the Mansion that day beginning at 2 p.m. Advance luncheon tickets are $150 a person and sponsorship opportunities are available. There will be a VIP Sponsor Tent on the polo field for the event’s wristband guests.
