What are good options for blogs and websites?

I’m thinking of creating an international dating blog. Many suggested wordpress as a good option but I want to look into more options. I’ve got the capital to create my own website or blog so I’m pretty open-minded with different choices. I need some insights and suggestions before taking the first step. Thanks!
