The Lubbock Arts Festival is the largest fine arts and crafts show in West Texas, and the marquee event of the Lubbock Arts Alliance. The festival will celebrate its 45th year with the special theme, "The Beat Goes On." The theme carries through the festival with special exhibitions from artists focused on the intersection of music and art, including Julie "Juleez" Borden "The Painter of Music" and an exhibition of music memorabilia from the Glen Sample Ely Music Memorabilia Collection, including pieces from classic rock legends like The Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, and Janis Joplin.

Over 100 artists from around the nation will be exhibiting and selling their work. Demonstrating artists will provide ongoing looks into their creative process. Multiple stages will feature performances across a variety of music genres, from classical to pop to rock. The World Music Stage, presented by the Texas Tech University International Cultural Center, will feature performances from the Texas Tech University Tango Orchestra, Mariachi los Matadores, Great Promise for American Indians, and more.

The Lubbock Arts Festival is a family-friend event with plenty of activities for children, including "Make and Take" art activities, packaged art projects, selfie stations, performances, and community partners.

Join us each afternoon for special performances. Saturday, April 15, will see The Maines Brothers Band reunite. All the original members of The Maines Brothers Band are back together for a one-night-only concert playing favorite hits, including Break the Fall and Amarillo Highway. Presented by the Texas Tech University Presidential Lecture and Performance Series.
