Many expatriates in Kenya?

Are there many expatriates living in Kenya? Is Nairobi a safe place for an expatriat to live?

    Your the people making Nairobi look bad, its a safe place to work apart from the little mishaps here and there, Crime and Corruption exists everywhere in the world, am also sure if i come to your country it exists, although the levels are abit high in our country let me assure you that the best of kenya yet exists, where corruption doesnt exist.
    The government has of late stepped up efforts against corruption so dont be afraid, am saddened to admit the worst about my country but its TRUE that Crime and Corruption is rife but many efforts are being made by our government to stem it out so dont worry about coming here, may be the best outweighs the worst so dont judge until you come and see for yourself

    hate to be the thorn among the roses but i was told by quiet a few ppl that nairobi is not safe. I am moving there sept/oct and a friend who visited there last week was surprised (negatively) with the place. Heard corruption rate is HIGH and THEFT higher.. Kinda not looking forward for the move..

    in kenya there are many jobs and we also offer equal employment oppotunitties, so if you are qualified and happen to see a job advert just apply, wish you all the best

    kenya is a safe place to live in, just try it out and i bet you wont regret it.

    To add on what Munyoki has said, there are so many expatriates in Nairobi. even so many Europeans most most for United Nations and other Non and governmental organizations.
    It all depends with the company you are working for...but most of them are keen to give their employees nice and secure areas to live.
    All is well here, crime rates have also gone down. feel safe to work n live in Kenya....

    as a matter of fact, there are so many Americans and Britons living here. in fact, not only staying but several others are citizens. all you need is to process a work permit on arrival. i can assist you if you would like. bye.

    I have no doubts that Nairobi is a very safe town, especially with such fine people as yourself as part of the police force. However, do you find many foreigners living in Nairobi, particularly from Europe or the Americas?

    as a matter of fact, nairobi is safe to like and work in. telling the truth, i a cop and i know how we are maintainig the town.so welcome,feel at hoe and work without any problem. incase of anything else, i might help where necessary. i am a citizen and working here in kenya.
