The Granbury Living Christmas Cards 2021

Granbury, TX—On December 10-11, 2021, once again The Granbury Living Christmas Cards™ will offer an outdoor, interactive family event on the historic town square in Granbury, Texas. This holiday extravaganza is Lakeside Baptist Church's FREE gift to the community, presented in partnership with the city of Granbury and Hood County.

Carey Dyer, LBC's Worship Pastor and creative director of the event, says, "This is Lakeside Baptist Church's fifth time putting on The Granbury Living Christmas Cards, and we're just as excited as when it was brand new. Our volunteers work so hard to make this a special Christmas tradition for those who attend. Our goal is to spread holiday cheer and help people reflect on the true hope of Christmas, Jesus."

The Christmas Cards themselves are huge (a combined painted surface area of over 3000 sq. feet)! Each card depicts a different thematic scene from Christmas. The stunning art featured on both sides of the cards was created by renowned artist and Lakeside Baptist Church member, James Spurlock, who worked hundreds of hours and directed a team of volunteers in applying his talent and creativity to the cards.

However, while the cards may be viewed during the day, the real magic happens Friday and Saturday nights, starting at 6:30 PM. As audience members visit each Granbury Living Christmas Card™, it will come to life with singers, actors, and dancers who interact with the audience. The evening concludes with a Christmas carol sing-along at the square's gazebo.

While the event is free and open to the public, patrons are invited to bring canned/dry goods to help "decorate" the Canned Good Giving Tree. All food items collected will help feed those who are needy in Hood County and the surrounding area.
