Turningpoint Breast Cancer Rehabilitation To Host Inaugural "Strength to Survive Charity Golf Event"

Outside of the scramble format for golf, there will be a silent auction, lunch, and the opportunity to shoot a golf ball out of an AR-15! All proceeds will support those breast cancer patients in rural Georgia who do not have access to care, or cannot afford the care they need. The goal is to raise $20,000 and match funds provided by TurningPoint's Georgia CORE grant. Even if you can't attend, perhaps you can contribute a silent auction item, volunteer, sponsor or just simply donate. TurningPoint Breast Cancer Rehabilitation, a unique nonprofit launched in 2003, provides specialized physical therapy and other services to improve the quality of life for breast cancer patients and survivors. Services include physical therapy, massage therapy, emotional support, nutritional counseling, exercise classes, and education programs. While TurningPoint accepts insurance, it covers less than 50 percent of the cost of care. Many TurningPoint patients do not have any insurance.
