Working in South Africa

โพสต์ใน ห้องสนทนา แอฟริกาใต้

Hi Sophie

It will all depend on what you wish to do, i.e. what your background is and in what field you would like to work.

Perhaps you could share a bit more information on this. There are a number of websites where you can look for jobs, but if you let us know what you are interested in I can suggest some to you.

If you are job hunting in Cape Town, I will suggest you take a look at this list of the top job vacancies in Cape Town.

And here is a brief range of the average salaries per city in SA. Of course, this will depend on various factors including years of experience, etc.

Best Paying Cities in South Africa
    Cape Town R374,173
    Johannesburg R359,285
    Sandton R358,728
    Centurion R306,315
    Pretoria R231,553

    Hi Sophie,

How are you going with this process of finding a job in SA? did you find a job? can you kindly share with me your experience?

    Hi Sophie

In terms of work permit, the key requirement is a job offer. The prospective employer will also need to place an advert in a national publication to show to Home Affairs that no local suitable candidate was found for the position.

Your foreign qualifications will need to be checked by the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA).

In terms of job search, there are a number of websites. However, as you have never been to South Africa, I would suggest you come to visit South Africa and perhaps do an internship for 3-6 motnhs in order to get to know South Africa.

A good point to start is

Other than that, you can find many job sites for South Africa on the Internet.
