Afro Tema play original afro-latin, reggae, and mbalax music from Senegal, creating a sound that is warm-spirited and hugely danceable.

Led by charismatic percussionist Makhou N'diaye whose plaintive voice soars like a muezzin over urgent guitar and syncopated hi hats their music transports you to the sandy streets of Dakar recalling the great Super diamono or Youssou N'dour in his day. Outrageously accomplished and almost telepathic the four members of Afro Tema return to Hot Numbers with yet hotter music.
