Alyse Radenovic Art Exhibit "Ray of Tikvah" at Pozez Jcc of Northern Virginia 11/22/2021-01/07/2022

Ray of Tikvah, Through Letters and Landscapes brings to life the magical artwork of Alyse Radenovic, whose breathtaking depictions of ancient Jewish prayers and songs fill the canvas with Hebrew letters like stars in the sky. The artist's captivating abstract interpretations of pastoral and urban settings feature bold strokes and a kaleidoscope of colors that take viewers on a journey from Virginia to distant lands.

Inspired by passages from the Torah and Tanakh, Radenovic makes religious text come alive with playful Hebrew script that appears to dance the hora while suspended midair, tugging at the imagination and heartstrings.

The Ray of Tikvah exhibition, which opens Monday, Nov. 22, at Bodzin Art Gallery at Pozez Jewish Community Center of Northern Virginia and runs through Friday, Jan. 7, offers a ray of hope through emotive, passionate artistic expression with the power to inspire, heal and bring light to darkness.

Alyse Radenovic is an American fine artist who's been painting since 2007. Her work is regularly featured at regional art shows and exhibits, and in 2020, she was profiled in the Washington Jewish Week for her contributions as a landscape painter. She lives in Alexandria, Virginia with her family.
