Our Freedoms Our Vote Rally

Join us on October 15th from 12:00 to 2:00PM at the Cass Ave. side of the Old Main Building on the Wayne State Campus. We will hold a rally to demand justice for the events on and around January 6th with speakers, opportunities for networking, resources for further action, support to help get out the vote as well as a march around the block to draw attention to these issues.

Detroit is one of approximately 75 cities across the country holding rallies between Oct.13h and October 23rd to demand justice for the events of January 6th. Donald Trump and MAGA Republicans committed crimes and incited violence in order to avoid the peaceful transfer of power and maintain their power. They have threatened our most basic freedoms: choosing our own leaders and in effect threatened our very democracy.
Bipartisan investigations have shown they engaged in a criminal conspiracy, knowingly made false claims, and promoted and paid for a violent attack on our country in order to overthrow the results of the election. The January 6th committee predominantly interviewed Republicans to quash the notion that there was any inherent bias in the information they collected. Trump and the MAGA Republicans act as if they are above the law while they want to take away our rights and undermine our freedoms. That's why we're holding nationwide events from October 13-23 - to hold Trump and his big lie supporters accountable.
We demand the January 6th committee findings result in CHARGES FOR ALL WHO SUPPORTED the insurrection which was essentially a violent coup d'etat. Not even former presidents are above the law, and neither are his MAGA supporters.
