Rich Young

As a multi-instrumentalist playing guitar, piano, keyboards and harmonica Rich's own material is based around rock, blues, Americana and roots music.

Born in London, Rich now lives in the Cambridge area of the UK and the East coast of Scotland.

He’s played, performed, written and recorded a diverse range of music ranging from writing and recording an album with Iron Maiden’s Adrian Smith to writing and producing a swing jazz instrumental for an international cinema ad.

He’s worked with Small Faces/Faces/Who drummer Kenney Jones, Bad Company’s Dave Colwell and Rick Wills, Eurythmic’s Dave Stewart, Loudon Wainwright III, Dire Straits’ David Knopfler, Steve Marriott, Nigel Kennedy and many more!

He lived in New York and Ireland for some years working with the multi-national band Still. He recently played on two albums for Mercury-nominated King Creosote and was a founder member of Scottish supergroup Drever McGuire Young who released two albums and toured extensively in the US and Europe.

Rich tours solo acoustic in the UK, US and Europe as well as playing shows in the Middle East. He has four solo albums released and a new EP coming out in 2016.
