- My husband (native Azorean) and I (American with family originally from India) will be moving to the Azores to start a business in the tourism industry towards the end of 2014 / early 2015. It's a big move for us, and for me as I have traveled all over the world but never actually lived abroad. I'm hoping to make some friends, get to know more of the island(s) and in general understand what type expats live in the Azores now.
