Hi to everyone,
i m arriving in Germany on the 18th of this month, and i have to do everything I can to get a job there ASAP (!!) i have a cousin in Berlin and a friend in Köln, so I m gonna visit both but I have to decide where to settle. My friend in Köln is willing to share his flat with me, and it would be very VERY cheap, but on the other hand everyone I know thinks Berlin is the place to be. I lived in Frankfurt for 2 years when I was little but i can t remember any German. Which city do you think is better to start jobseeking for me? Should I give Köln a try before heading to Berlin?

I have been to both the places, The Job search is definitely a difficult task however what the best can be done is a bit of research b4 you move.
In My case , i am an Internet Guy , my line of work since 5 years in Internet. so when i search for Internet jobs in germany the chosen destination is Munich and the Dusseldorf. Even berlin and koeln has lot of Jobs in the field but Munich and Dusseldorf is a better option. Similarly if you know which industry you are willing to work just do a little bit research and things would be easier.

hey, i lived in both cities: if you dont speak Germany it would be better to move to berlin, bigger city, more people, more places... My boyfriend is struggling with finding a job where you only hve to speak english in cologne, but everywhere they just say they need someone to speak german. Berlin is definitely easier. But both Cities are nice and fun, so ur not doing anything wrong either way....
And Berlin is cheaper than cologne anyway, so u'll definitely find a cheaper flat in Berlin, flat share or whatever u prefer ....
