Does anyone know of any good venues, restaurants, or bars in Salzburg that offer free live music (or perhaps a cheap cover fee)? I am especially interested in jazz, acoustic, alternative, or world music more so than rock music.

Hi,
You probably have found this info out already by now, but from what I understand the two main venues for jazz/blues is the jazzit club and Urbankeller (runs all kinds of different genres of music on different nights), oh, and there's also the Rockhaus of course!
Most of the evenings cost to be part of the audience, but the jazzit club does run a jazz jam on a tues eve which is free entry and usually quite busy and vibrant.
