Şurada gönderildi Graz forumu

Hi everyone,
My family and I are planing to move to Graz by the end of the year.
We have two little girls (2 and 4 years old).

I am trying to figure out how it works in Graz with daycare/Kindergarten.
Where a the nicest place to live and look for an apartment in Graz.
How expensive is an app. in Graz for around 3-4 bedrooms.
Do you know any webpage where I can have a look for houses and apartments for rent???

Any hints and Information will be more than WELCOME!

Gracias and thanks for your hints!

Sandra

    Hi Stefan,
Sorry I didn't read your answer before..... We arrived to Graz 3 weeks ago and we are renting a small flat (32 mts2) near the Finanzamt Strassenbahn stop. Very central but very expensive. Our girls are in school and in the kindergarten.
    Best wishes,
    Pilar

    Hi Pilar!
Sorry, I only realised afterwards that I can have a look on your profile, to see where you are from.
My brother and his girlfriend (also an intern at the hospital close to Eggenberg) lives in Graz. I can maybe get you in contact with them..
I know Mariatrost was one area we liked a lot. I almost thought of buying a property there! This area is also close to the uni.

    Best regards

    Stefan

    Hi Stefan,
Thanks for your answer. We are from Chile (South America), my husband and I speak english, my daughters understand a little bit of german (they are in a german school). My husband is a H&NSurgeon and I'm a Marine Biologist. The reason why we are going to Graz is because my husband will make a internship in the H&NS Medical University of Graz, I will take care of our girls. We both where in Graz for a few days last summer, and we loved the City......but we only saw the turistic part of it. We look at furnished flats by internet (1,100 Euros aprox.), this was in down town. I will check for the area of Gosting, pre-school and elementary school are my priorities, but we need to live near where my husband will be studying. I will also contact the Austrian Embassy in Chile for more information. Many thanks for your help!
    Regards,

    Hi Pilar!
I had a very nice time in Graz, although I did not stay there all the time, because of my work in Africa. My wife stayed there most of the time with our kids, and she had a bit of a difficult time, as my 15-year old son was quite under stress with the school (German/French/Spanish lessons), as we only spoke Afrikaans and English before we arrived.
We stayed in Gosting , which was quite convienient, and I know there is a pre-school very close by.
Where are you from, and do you speak German?
We went back to S-Africa a few months ago, but my kids want to go back to Graz!
My brother still lives there, and he is a squash couch for young children. If you are interested in getting them to participate in sport like squash with other very young children, I can get you his details.
Will you be working there, or what will be the main reason for your stay? Do you need to be in the city?
ps. I will be in Graz next week for one day.

    Best regards

    Hi Sandra,
Just saw your post, and thought I ask if you had any questions answered yet, as I need the same as you.
My wife and I are "moving"to Graz in September with our 2 kids of 11 and 14. We all have Austrian citizenship except my wife, but never lived there before. We still need to rent a place. The kids will be going to the GIBS school. Let me know if you have any tips for us.
    Best regards

    Stefan
