hi. we have our documents submitted for fiance visa in Belgium embassy in Manila first week of oct. and interviewed again first week of dec. we're wondering what is the average processing time for this visa type..we are hoping to get married before our marriage declaration expires feb 10..does anyone here wants to share their experiences re fiance visa? thanks and happy new year!

I have an appointment with Huis van het Nederlands (House of Netherlands) on May 10 for assessment and they will be the one to recommend what level you are and suggest schools near to your place where you can enroll. the Embassy already emailed me for the visa approval, im 100% sure you already got yours too... so we will email the docs back to the embassy on or before 17May. Question, which email address? back to the sender i guess? yahooooooo!!!!!

nope. the time that i submitted all my docs is the only time they asked me questions. After that, they have not called me at all. I guess they knew me well enough coz i flew to BE twice for my vacation and maybe the info they have is more than enough?
Based on the link that you share to see the status on our visas, it states there that my docs made it to BE on Mach 28 and it got AKKOORD on April 28. Hmmmm.. im also a little worried on the fact that they have not send us an email yet?.. and yes, there was also a time that i called up the embassy and the same thing happens that the call got forwarded to the voice prompt over and over again. Rather strange.
Ladies, i think we are just neighboring places, it's really not that far from each other. yahoo!
ZD Pardo, question, have you already went to a dutch language school yet? coz if not, maybe you can wait for us and we can all enroll together?
Yeah, BE fries, Waffles, Chocolates and Beers! there is just so many right?...

Hi Anna Liza,
I have an important question. Have you been invited by the Embassy for the in-depth interview (the 2 hour interview that ZD Pardo mentioned on her blog)? I didn't have to do that so I'm kinda worried. I mean it's strange that they didn't invite me for an interview like that. Isn't it necessary for the marriage declaration act too? :S

Yep, KLM is more expensive. But I guess that's what I'm gonna take since it's fits my sched perfectly. My fiancee lives in Kortrijk. I think that's not too far from West Flanders too. Yay! It'll be so easy to met up with you guys. :)
Btw, I tried calling the Embassy this afternoon. I tried several times for about half an hour and to no avail. There seemed to be something wrong with their lines. Nobody's picking up the phone (the operator). And I kept on being routed back to the main menu voice prompt. It was so frustrating. :S I sent them an e-mail anyway. I just really wish they will contact us very soon. I mean that kinda closes the deal if you know what I mean. It's like the final confirmation that our visas are ready.
Let's keep each other posted, ayt?

Diksmuide is also in West Flanders..I have been there on my first trip to see Ijzen tower..really nice city...and we are neighbors ~some 40 km away from us (about 45 mins drive). We are here in Wervik. Hope to see you all soon ladies and have some Belgian beer, Belgian waffles and Belgian chocolates (have I say Belgian enough?) :) hahaha..I'm just so excited that I will have new friends coming..wiiih! Keep me posted! Have a safe trip you both! :D

Only now I read about Anna Liza's, Desert Vixen's, and Felipe's reply after I posted the congratulatory response I put up there.. You guys made my day! The best compliment ever that I received is that I brought hope to someone..even a spark can ignite into flames.. and let's keep that spark (of hope) burning for others too! Dank je wel! I so love my kababayans! :D
