How much are the events from the 90's still tangible in Bosnia and Herzegovina?

Bosnia and Herzegovina is without doubt a very nice country. I am wondering where would it be in the Bosnian war didn't affect the region... How much are the events still tangible in the region? If you go to, lets say Sarajevo, can you still spot there some remains of the war? Are there still some tensions between different ethnic groups?

I think you should really consider Balkan as a place to travel. It is very safe, and you can't see any war remains. :) I'm sure you won't regret it. Balkan is a link between East and West and that mixture is very interesting. :) The greatest thing about Bosnia are the people. Bosnians are really, really friendly and easy going. You should visit the capital, Sarajevo. The night life is great and there are lots of things to see. Then Banja Luka, Mostar, Jahorina...
