Can anyone update me on whether the new P.R law has been introduced. That is once married you can obtain a P.R without waiting 2 years.

I am a Lebanese girl studying in Ukraine..
My dad is about 62 years old he wanted to apply an application to live in Ukraine with his wife ,me and my sister later...my question is can he apply there and have the permanent residence later...Does permanent residence has any requirements to apply such ?

I very much appreciate your message regarding PR status here in Ukraine. I'm a member of another "Expat Site" unfortunately with so much conflicting information about this issue.
I have been to the OVIR here in Uzhgorod many times; however the information on PR status changes on every occasion.

As regards your question, let me kindly note as follows. The issue you enquire about is regulated by the Law of Ukraine "On immigration". The provision you have mentioned is still in force. Thus, it is still necessary to wait 2 years untill you will be able to obtain a P.R.
