My name is Ryan. I currently live in Royal Oak, Michigan (USA). My company has offered me an amazing opportunity to work in Germany/France for at least 2 years (Loerrach and Saint-Louis). I am beyond excited. My official move date has not been established, but we're thinking somewhere around the new year. I'm making a preliminary trip over to the Loerrach area from November 8th to 15th, to scope out the new lifestyle and culture (oh yeah, and the job assignment).
As of right now, I'm just looking to chat and make conversation. Any advice or tips on what to look out for or whatever would be great. When I arrive, we'll go have some beers.

I am Lorena, I come from Spain and I live in Mannheim since August 2009 and still don't know much people. I don't mind speaking English, but I think I'll need some time to refresh it, since I haven't spoken English for years!!
Mannheim its quite away from Lörrach, but I would like to visit Freiburg some time and if you want, we could meet there.
