Have you ever wondered how apps and computer games are made? Interested in what makes computers, phones and puzzle games work?
Come and learn how to program your own game from the ground up. You’ll learn the basics of writing creative code by learning how to program a simple game on a BBC micro:bit. Using these nifty microcomputers, you’ll be able to get your own programs up and running in no time and quickly learn how to make something that you can make your very own, play and share.
Participants take home their game on a BBC micro:bit controller that they can play, and keep coding.
This workshop is a full day. Please make sure your child has lunch, snacks, drink bottle, and sun protection.
Age group: 10-14. No prior experience required.
Suitable for girls and boys.
We design the learning and social experience of our workshops very carefully, and it is important for the enjoyment and safety of all participants that your child is within the age range for this program.
