Hi Christina,
At the moment we're also looking into going back to Holland. As far as i have understood there is one primary international school in Groningen; GSV http://www.g-s-v.nl/.
Normally kids in Holland start school in the week they turn 4 years old but i think the international school looks at the year they are born. The school fees are salary based, but you can find all the information on the link i just gave you.
If all goes well my kids will be starting in september this year (7 and 8 years old)
Housing is very expensive because we're searching in the so called 'free market' be prepared to pay 1000€ + for a family house.
Not sure about living costs as i haven't been living myself in Holland for over 15 years now.
Good luck!
Heleen

Groningen Info
Hi Christina,
Have you arrived in Groningen?
My daughter is not yet of school age, so I don't have any information about that.
Regarding living expenses, it will mostly depend on where in the city you would like to live, and how many bedrooms you will need. For a two bedroom apartment relatively close to the centrum, you can probably expect to pay from 500 to 1000 euro a month inclusive, depending on the size.
If there is any specific information that you would like help with, feel free to ask!
