Is there an Auckland gym (preferably 24/7) without music or with quieter than average music (for a gym) as ideally I don't want to buy and wear noise cancelling/reducing headphones.

I have a lot of issues when it comes to music selection for people. Of course, people can use noise cancelling headphones but that will be unproductive when it comes to people communicating in the gym. I know that people do not like the music and talking to other people so I agree with you looking for a quiet gym. There are some around but you just have to talk to some people who are in the city right now because I was there a long time ago but I do not have the right perspective right now but I do know that there are some near the city centre.
