A Rare Musical Event- For the First Time in the World Pandit Prasanna Gudi

Pandit Prasanna Gudi is organising a rare musical concert where he will be singing continuously for 48 hours by dedicating songs of great depth in style and inherent spiritual beauty. Earlier he sang non-stop for 26 hours and 12 minutes on December 26, 2008 at Dharwad, Karnataka, now he is all set to create a new record by attempting to sing for 48 hours continuously. He will be supported by 100 accompanying artists on the various instruments that will keep changing over the 48-hour period.

The main objective of organising such a musical event is to raise funds to start a musical school/college and eventually make it as a university for higher studies in the name of Pt.Bhimsen Joshi and Pt.Madhav Gudi through the Swaramahayaga Trust. The funds raised through this concert will be utilised for all these plans.

The entry fee for three hours of the concert is Rs. 5000/- and one can register at the venue. Post three hours, fresh tickets will have to be bought. Between every three hours, there will be a 20-minute break during which the co-artists will be honoured and changed for the next three hours. This will continue throughout the duration of the concert.
