Hi, I have recently moved to Poznan and am wondering if there are any groups of English speakers that meet up for drinks etc. I don't know many people here other than my girlfriends friends and I miss going out for a pint.

I probably can't make Saturday, but if you're looking for a place where ex-pats hang out, then you could try Thursday evenings at Cafe Banuba - the couch surfing group meets there for drinks, with a mix of nationalities and languages. It tends to get busy from about 8 or 9pm.

I've also recently moved to Poznań, as my fiancee lives and studies here. Is there any expat community still meeting for drinks etc?
Also, if anyone here watches football, I'll be in Cooliozum on Sunday to watch the two premier league games. Unfortunately though it tends to be populated by Polish Man Utd fans!
When I was over here during the Euros, I also went to Brogan's a few times, I guess that might be a good place to meet?

Dear all,
I can highly recommend to join the couchsurfing community. Every week on Thursday there is a get together in Bunuba where people have a beer and get to know each other. Don't let the ''Couchsurfing" put you off, I joined without ever having someone over or surfing someone's couch. It's a pretty young crowd, but they're open minded to newbies/ expats which sets them aside from the 'standard' Polish. You'll find a lot of expats/ Erasmus there too.
Have fun and maybe see you on a Thursday meeting. You can find them on FB: Couchsurfing Poznan.
Cheers,
Nathalie
