Spam filter

Hi Justin! Your listings have been caught by our automatic spam filter and are now showing up again. We do have quite a few filters up and running to protect our users from spam, and though this doesn't happen very often, in some cases they hit wrongly.

Hi Anita! For closing your account, you simply go to "My account" on the top and then to "Delete account" on the left.

ok thanks a lot, i think i have done that hiding the profile from google... its in the privacy bit isnt it? ill check again! thanks for getting back to me so soon!

Hi Claire, thanks for your comment. This is a difficult question. We have decided that the forums etc. should be visible to people who are not logged in (so they can see what is going on in the community), but only registered members can contact other people of post.
At the same time, we decided that we did not want any "anonymous" discussions in the community - as this is supposed to be a place to meet real people. Just like in any public space, you should therefore think what you the world to know about you.
However, we obviously do not force anybody to upload their real photo if they don't want to (as you), and some people prefer to just put up the first letter of their surname (i.e. Claire B). In addition, there is also a privacy setting which let's you hide your profile page from Google. We hope that this - together with the extensive privacy settings for contact option - should give our users sufficient options to protect their privacy.

hi it would be good if there was an option to stop your photo and comments being publically shown on the front page of the community part of the website, when you havent even logged in! is there a way to do this.... i really dont want my personal picture and comments broadcats to the world! its importatnt in my profession to be extreamly careful so any tips would be greatly appreciated! thanks

For me it is intresting what for peole want to find new friends in this community.Because you might know that real friends we have from our students life and the time when we were children.Do you agree with me???

Hi Ann! You actually have to select your friend from the list on the right (instead of just typing it in). This could be a little more clear, we will see how we can improve this.

I tried to send a message to my friend Maria bigornia when I clicked on box to type in her name nothing happened

There were some problems for changing your photo in Internet Explorer. These should be fixed now. If you find any more problems, please let us know.

You can now search by name, click on 'Find new friends' on the left and you will see a name search option at the bottom of the right column. Thanks for the feedback.
