Making friends

I too am looking to just make female friends. However there are lots of expat groups in and around Leiden.
Have you joined the Yahoo Leiden Expat group? http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Leidenexpats/ They also have a Facebook group too https://www.facebook.com/#!/groups/5374052789?ap=1 .
They have lots of social events. One of which is the Dutch Conversation Night for people who want to learn and practice their Dutch or just for people to make friends. They now also have a Conversation Night. Just for people to meet and talk.
