    Hello Jason,

Education in Scandinavia has been tax-supported for many years. Students were afforded the opportunity to study at universities and colleges without paying tuition fees as Scandinavian societies pay special attention to the education of their citizens as a way to stay competitive. Although there has been much discussion concerning the introduction of tuition fees, governments claim it doesn't make sense EU students have to pay fees when studying abroad while non-EU students can study for free in Scandinavia. In addition, some people also point out that students should choose to study in Scandinavia because of the quality of the education, not because there are no tuition fees. Still, EU and exchange students won't have to pay tuition fees.
