In the name of allah
"O mankind, indeed We have created you from male and female and made you peoples and tribes that you may know one another. Indeed, the most noble of you in the sight of Allah is the most righteous of you. Indeed, Allah is Knowing and Acquainted."Quran Chapter49 Verse 13.
Some people today and unfortuantely forget this noble meaning when they look for someone to marry .And if ever someone gets in such thing he should be trustful and looking for a noble goal that is marriage .Your partner seem to be materialistic (asking money )moreover a lazy man because you are building a house for him .You have to make a good decision regarding him as a person beacuse he seem to be of a creepy kind and looking to live upon the others.as for marriage never mind ,it would come by its time God is willing.
