    well, I think many Americans (this is what I think looking from outside) are afraid to step outside the box, or be labeled weird, or the worst of all, socialist.

    I may be wrong, but I think you can sell Americans anything if you just convince them that the opposite means they are socialists.

    True thing, I heard a guy on the radio say that he had a child that could not hear but could be healed by surgery he couldn't afford, but he'd rather his child can never hear than have the government pay for it, like socialists do.

    To me, that's just crazy.
