Hmmm... I've been self-employed for 16 years and love it! I have perfect Oxford English, lots of patience and endurance, and am a workaholic perfectionist who really needs to get a life before I leave the planet : ) I read omnivorously, am a born again Christian but don't force it on others, and the ocean is my first love. I have a deep, need to be within sound of the sea to be content. I'm sad and disillusioned by the corruption, graft and general slow decay of my rainbow nation and fell in love with NZ years ago, long before I started considering moving to another county.

Learning how to make something new- current list of completed includes making really nice soap, weaving, knitting intarsia and fair isle, making doormats out of plarn (what you get if you cut up and chain-lace plastic bags), making roman blinds and recovering/ re-webbing furniture. Obviously I also sew : ) I enjoy cooking, but not all the time, and when I'm on a working jag I tend to rely on my son to feed me or live on trailmix. I love all animals, including bats and snakes, but have a visceral fear of spiders, and I'd like to buy a nice little piece of land at an amount I can afford and build on it- so need to know about zoning because I want to build a sandbag house- warm in winter, cool in summer, soundproof, and can withstand floods and hurricanes- and they look good- go and google it! No, not a round one!

以前のキャリア:
Litigation secretary. Started my working career as a windowdresser, but only stayed one for 2 years. I spent most of my working life either as a secretary, girl Friday or general dogsbody - and only realised how very good I am as an editor when I started working for myself. I'm also an extremely accurate transcriber and translate well, even though the only other language I speak is Afrikaans... I'd like to remain self-employed and provide part-time work for others, which I do when I get big jobs in, or if I'm overloaded.
