hi. we have our documents submitted for fiance visa in Belgium embassy in Manila first week of oct. and interviewed again first week of dec. we're wondering what is the average processing time for this visa type..we are hoping to get married before our marriage declaration expires feb 10..does anyone here wants to share their experiences re fiance visa? thanks and happy new year!

and to all of u who are travelling to BE Oct and Nov (yes, claim it that u'll all have a positive answer from embassy soon *wink wink), make sure u're all geared up for autumn season...which means, an average temperature of 10 to 15 C and sometimes a little drizzle and rain here and there...good luck and God bless..

Thank you guys for your kind words. We are more than happy to be able to help others (like yourselves). We've all been there and we know exactly how you're all feeling right now. Now regarding your comments, it is indeed not advisable to request for a 90 day visit visa (most especially if you are planning to visit your boyfriend or girlfriend). That usually (if not always) raises suspicion. Well, logically speaking, I don't think you need 90 days to see all of Belgium. Normally, 14 days would be enough. Thus, we (trio-tagapayo) advise applicants to request for not more than 21 days (but 14 days I guess is the safest). Another thing that we always advise is that you have to be honest with your intention. The visa officers can see right through you. So if you really have plans of staying in Belgium (with your boyfriend for example), then better apply for a fiancee visa. It is definitely more tedious but better start everything the right way.
But enough of that. You guys have all lodged your applications anyway. Now comes the waiting time which can be excruciating sometimes. Hehehe! Just keep the faith guys. ;) And remember, if worse comes to worst (knock on wood...God forbid), you can always re-apply ASAP. So don't think that it's the end of the world. Just make sure to do everything right next time.

Yes for sure the result would be akkord..pwamiz..
just let us know the result. Mine, I guess by November. If I am not mistaken, they have a new consul in Brussels.No need for you to call the embassy. I guess much better just wait the result. Check it online from time to time. For sure, magugulat kana lng may result na. Kasi the embassy in Manila is very late nila malalaman yung result. Naghihintay lang din sila sa result from Brussels.

its the 4th week now since i lodged my application but no result yet, i've been checking the website of the the Belg Immigration Office but seems its not there so I'm just waiting for the e-mail or call from the Embassy for the result, I might as well call them next week for follow up since its the 5th week n (di naman na siguro masama noh?),,,pray pray pray and soon we will get a positive result,,, buti n lng ndito k n ulit felipe,,,
we will get a positive result,,, sure yan in God's will...Good luck to us guys...

Sorry I cant post message last few months. I don't know why. The good thing I emailed the administration of this site to activate my account. And now finally, it's okay.
By the way, I had my appointment last October 3, 2011.
Hope this time they will grant my visum asking.
I already submitted the documents that I don't have before. In GOD's faith this time it will be akkord..
