I can imagine what you must be feeling in UK.....what with the recession, jobs market, negative press media and now the bad snow...does it ever get any better?....I don´t think so!!
My parents moved to Spain, south Alicante 20 years ago and I moved here 10 years ago aged 40 and broke.
What I do find is that many people can just about manage to get here, but after the novelty of finding a property and getting used to a new environment. most English never truly settle because they fail to have a real purpose. Having a reason to be is essential, plus of course you need an income to sustain your new lifestyle.
I was fortunate to develop a successful real estate business during the boom years and now I am acting as Consultant with one of Europes fastest growing companies from UK who have just moved to Spain.
