posted by  Kris MC in Belgium forum

    Hello, Everyone!

Who among here recently applied for a Fiance Visa to Belgium?? I just want to ask how's your experience during the lodging day. I'm applying at the moment for a Fiance Visa to Belgium and now in the process of gathering the documents for Marriage Declaration Act. So far the gathering of requirements is doing very well. Just want to share with you this ebook called, "Belgian Filipino Lovers - a practical fiance visa applicaion guide". It was shared with me by a friend who is part of putting up the e-book. So far, I'm getting all the information I needed. If you want to know how to get a copy, please check their FB page: www.facebook.com/belgianfilipinolovers

    For Theena De Schryver

Hallo again, Theena! First of all, I do not have a blog but I do answer questions here in the forum that is related to my experience as FV applicant before. My husband was interviewed in the office of the procureur. He received a phone call while he was in the office and was asked to go there.

About the pictures, maybe some visa officers do not ask for pictures. But in my case, I just submitted a thick extended folder with all the proofs of our relationship such as pictures, chat logs, emails, receipts, etc. I was asked for pictures so I showed our pictures to the visa officer.

Normally, you should know the status of your visa after 6 weeks of lodging your application. Those who knew the visa result after one month are maybe VV or TV applicants. There is an advantage if you have visited Belgium already. The investigation is fast. Those I knew got their visa approval at the earliest time.

But then again it depends in the complexity of the case and the gemeentehuis of your husband's town. Some visa applications take more time than 3 months because of the factors affecting the visa application. In my case, I waited for 3 months to know the result. I lodged my visa application on September and I knew the result on December.

Hi ms. K how long it's takes before it release I know it's case to case basis my husband is going back here this October 18, so in October 16 my visa is 1 month already....
So if we are lucky hope I can go with him go back to belgium but some said it's 2, months coz when I went to embassy some applicant grant their visa 1 month some are 6 weeks..
And during my interview they don't asked any pictures of us....
But I bring a lot even our Skype our wedding pictures
So not to be paranoid maybe they dont asked it bcoz he visited me 9x already I'm just thinking that way for the benefits of my doubt.....

Hallo there! I am happy for you that you already did your interview in the embassy. All you just have to do now is wait and pray for a positive result. I can understand your anxiety. It is really stressful to wait for the visa result but never lose hope. Everything is possible with God's grace.

With regards to the written questions, it is right that you told the truth. It is normal for every couple to not know 100% of their partner's whereabouts. You will know more each other once you and him live together under one roof. But they said that we should know at least 80% of our husband's whereabouts.

In my experience, I answered some of the questions with ''I don't know.'' or ''I'm not sure with the date or place.'' I just wonder why you have no idea about his ex-wife because it is common for every couple to know that especially if your partner is divorced. But then it is a case-to-case basis.

You cannot just invent a name or story. But if you did, just make sure that you can stand for every word that you wrote in the paper. But I admire what you did. Honesty is still the best policy. It is normal for you and your husband to feel pessimistic about it. When I finished my interview, I was really paranoid if I answered it right or wrong.

Anyway, your husband will have his interview here in Belgium soon and your answers will be compared. My husband had his almost 2-hour interview with the procureur. He even answered fish for my favorite food but what I wrote in the paper was pasta. Haha! So I got more paranoid after his interview. But it went well and thanks be to God for that.

I hope that you will have your visa approval soon. God will grant your prayers. Just never lose hope and trust Him. Try to divert your attention to lessen your anxiety. And continue to support each other especially in times like this. Goodluck! :)

Hallo! Sorry for the very late reply. I did not know that you have another message for me here in the forum. Age gap can be one of the reasons for refusal but as long as you have proven to the consul that your relationship with your fiancee is genuine then I believe you can get a visa approval. There are cases in which the age gap is like 20 years or more but they got their visa approval. It is a case-to-case basis. Goodluck to your visa journey! :)

    Hi miss.k
I'm already done my interview last 16 of September FRV we been together closer to 4 years since the day I met him.. but we are married last Feb 13 of this year...our relationship is solid he visited me 9 x already 2 to 3x a year...
All the questions I answered it by heart
And even the questionare that I filled it up
I don't lie ... But my like the name of my brother in laws I don't know them coz we never talked about it..
And even her child we talked we see each other on Skype say hi and hello.
Coz there are some questions there regarding to his family I said that I don't know coz my husband is not attached on his brothers just only to his mother
Even the ex wife they asked it on the questionare
Which is I don't have any idea...
Even the gift s he give me on my birthday chrismas and new year ... We are couple are not into gifts
So my husband nagged me coz I don't tell anything
But I answered it by heart and that's the truth
But all the information there about our relationship I answered everything...
Now we are on the agony stage
    If I denied or approved....
    Its the hardest part waiting
    Thanks u ms.k
    God bless
