My experience with people from abroad

Well, I've allways wondered about the fonetic aspect of our strange language. As it's my mother tongue, I've used to it,... But once, there were visitors from other countries (some school project), and I asked them, what our language sound them like. Heh, I was expecting something like funny, slow, etc., but the answer was "something between Russian and German". I don't mind this answer, actually i like it :-) in my opinion it's an exact description, as we are slovanians (and have some shared basics with Russian language) together with beeing next to 2 german speaking countries (and maybe even more important might be the past with Habsburgs in our "goverment" ).
Or how does it sound to you? :-p
