Is there anywhere I can take courses to learn Arabic

Posted in Kuwait forum

I have been here for a few months and would like to take courses in Arabic. I know of the Aware Center, but there schedule for introductory classes, conflict with my schedule. I live in the Jabryia area. Thanks

    Hey Katie.
Well if I join you I'll join you only for any other activity like for coffee, for going out to some well known place etc...but never for the shisha...:)

I don't think there is any gutteral throat sound for the word "No".
We only say "La" for "No" which you can say as well easily.
    From where you got "laht"?

However, I agree that there are certain sounds which you can't produce without learning.

    :)

Hmmmm Ahmad, you should've joined us for Shisha. We discussed it that night at Carribou. It was fun. Had a big crowd.

Ahmad, would you explain the gutteral throat sound for language pronounciation. Example: The word No is laht? Correct or is that just the spelling of it? :)

Guys this is going to the largest thread here. It forced me to change the settings to not send me a notification on email on a new post. I check this site regularly anyways.
@Tania, we all tend to find positives once we made a decision. You just did that. I have not known anyone else here who have come for other reasons than work. But when i have to defend my move to my folks back home, i think on the similar lines of yours. I personally waiting to shift to dubai. you know the reasons.
