Making friends in Switzerland

Well my advice to anyone new would be not to bother with the locals. Find people you share a similar culture that you can bond with. Swiss people are very distrustful towards anything foreign. Not open-minded towards anything outside their cultural norms. Quite disturbing for a so-called advanced western country. It's 2022 and you'd think the world to be a more globalized and connected place but not the case in Switzerland. The mentality is stuck in antiquity.
