i appreciate the way you consider the problem, so to speak, relating history with phenomenons in the modern society.
In fact even in Bus stop of China, you see strangers begin to talk all the time. That i never saw in Germany ,in fact i never saw two strangers talked in streets or buses.(nothing negative, just to say we also like to communicate) And if we have big problems to communicate with others, how could we trade all over the world?
I really dont know how did the people before Mind Dynasty look like, i'm afraid i could not dig out a Terracotta Army guy from the tomb to show you guys. XD XD
maybe i think we have a different way to date, can you image my grandpa did not date? He met my grandma for the first time in the wedding day, his parents chose his wife for him.(sounds like open a present, but it was true!) that's ofcourse old story, any way you will see chinese behave more and more like western people in future, i believe so.
